Start 11 2.11 Pinned "fences" folder items contain file extensions

from Stardock Forums

I have a Fences folder pinned as a menu with Start 11. The menu items contain the file extension as well, which is a bit confusing. Could they be hidden somehow? Especially the .lnk ending is pointless display.
