Feature Request - Taskbar Pin Icon Panel Option

Option to show pin folder menu as an icon panel.

I use a taskbar pin to replace my Quick Launch since I was forced into downgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 when my old computer died.

It would be great if there was an option to make the "Pin folder menu" option style as an icon panel where you could set the number of rows you wanted to use. This would allow a really close approximation of the original Quick Launch and reduce required mouse motion.

If the feature could be set to open on hover that would allow one click access to your most used programs.

It might be simpler to include it as a fourth option called "Pin folder icon panel".

Thanks!

Mason, it might be a good idea to change your nickname for privacy reasons. This is a public forum and you might become the target of spam, etc.

@pelaird, I had done about the same thing as in your referenced post.  That is what made me start this thread.

I also am working with ObjectDock to try to get it to give me the results I am looking for. I have a thread in the other software forum about it. ObjectDock does almost everything but give the option to default to opening a new instance of a program with a single left click.

When I click on my browser, for instance, I want a new browser instance, not my existing open window. I use visible labels and never combine on my taskbar so I can pick the open window I want. BTW, I do not use tabs at all. I have a browser addon that opens any knew tab in a new window.
