Sizes of fonts and button icons are unstable

So this is weird.  The menu had incredibly tiny fonts earlier. In the picture below, the font size is normal, but the button size is wrong. Poking around in the settings seemed to correct it, but the problem comes back.  Restarting Start11 from Task Manager has no effect. It seems like a scaling error.  The taskbar looks normal.  All other apps seem fine.

AAny suggestions would be most welcome.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, if you on Start11v2. Do "Reset settings" and see if everything is back to default.

Try that and report back.

Thank you.

Since I posted, the Start11 menu corrected itself.  I did not restart the computer or anything like that.

I did Reset as you suggested.  Consequently, I lost most (but not all) of my pinned tiles, so now I have to rebuild my menu. I will come back if I have any new observations.

In the future, be mindful of how large you have the "Item font" set. You can also adjust everything globally.

You can also adjust the icon size in the "Advanced options." This will increase the size of the tile without affecting the text size.

Thanks, Pelaird.  Allow me to clarify.  This was a spontaneous event.  I hadn't fiddled with these settings in months.  When the problem first occurred, I checked all those, and they looked normal. Changing these parameters had an effect, but did not stabilize the situation.  I could get it back to where I wanted, but the very next click on the start button could produce a different unexpected result. For some unknown reason, the parameters were not controlling the behavior of the app. I think I'll make a backup of the settings this time around, so I don't lose all my customizations if I have to reset again.

Have you had any computer crashes lately? It's possible the Start11 installation got corrupted. You might have to Uninstall/Reinstall to fix it. I believe there is an update just around the corner, and you could wait and see if installing the update fixes it. There is also the option of purging the installation. https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1349320730/Start+Menu+purging+and+re-installing

Definitely saving your settings is a good idea, unless the settings in the registry are corrupted.
