Objectdesktop update problems

I have the full OD package, ever since I first purchased it I have never been able to update it.I keep getting a message telling me certain files have been deleted. This is on every programme, ie. winstyles, windowblinds, iconpackager, object desktop, etc. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling OD still the same. Have formatted my OS still no joy. I have contacted stardock support, a complete waste of time. My subscription is due in March this year, I was thinking of letting it lapse and purchasing from scratch as I think it may be a registration problem/conflict, as I had a lot of registration problems when I first purchased the programme.
Anyone else had this problem ?? It is definitely not a problem with lack of resources on my OS. I have 120 GB hard drive 512 MB memory, 2.4 GHZ intel processor, running windows XP. Updates download OK but comes up with the above message when attempting to install. Any help would be appreciated.

hmm. do you have the registration info entered right?

more questions:
1)when you formatted your os, do you mean that you formatted your harddrive then reinstalled windows? windows reinstall doesn't reformat the harddrive so stuff still remains.
2) have you run the ODzapper program? I forgot where it is, but I know that it exists. I will post its link later if somebody else hasn't and you want it.
3) what type of registration problems did you have in the beginning?
4) do you have anyother problems with object desktop or startdock central?

while I don't know much about this hopefully by answering these questions somebody else may be alos able to assist you.

Thanks for reply.
1. I actually formatted the hard drive before reinstalling windows.
2. I have uninstalled using zapper, nil fix
3. I was registered under two names for some reason, stardock has since scrubbed one of these. I still feel it's a registration problem, as the updates download ok but when installing I get the message "there was an error installing iconpackager file deleted"
Iconpackager is just an example I get the same message for all OD programmes. I can't remember the name of the deleted files I will have to reinstall OD and try for the updates again, it's not the .exe. files though. After formattng and doing a clean install of OD why should it have deleted files?
4. I don't have any other "serious "problems with the programme
Thanks again GG.

Try taking the name you have at stardock and cross reference that with everything you have. Then make sure you have all the serial number entered correctly and in all the right places. I myself wasn't aware that they had to be entered in various other places so I wasn't getting certain updates as well. But once they were all entered and everything was cross referenced the updates started flowing.

How exactly are you trying to install? what is the exact error message you get? Is it the same file each time? Are you using Stardock Central?
