I have the same problem, and I have seen many people have the same problem, and the official has not yet fixed this problem.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, it best if you could point to which area that is "Garbled"? Also, once it was installed do you see any other "Garbled" area in the running Fences itself?

Thank you.

area: China. Only the installation package interface is garbled. The fences software displays normally after installation.

Has there been an official response to this?   I see it was forwarded but no response?   Is this a sign of security issue and bad code being injected (unlikely) or bad Quality control (most likely)?   If you don't catch something like this what are your coding practices... I understand users are beta testers these days, and I'm okay with it.  But Quality Control and following standards  like OWASP and other best practices don't change.  Just ask CrowdStrike, SolarWinds, Microsoft, and many other companies that have caused issues for their customers and sometimes even more than that.

Yeah a bit of a paranoid response, but SolarWinds thought the same thing as I'm sure did Minecraft.

Not that it matters, but having to post on the forum to get any kind of re-assurance your not hacked is silly.

Hi elspringer, this is just a text-encoding issue with the installer packager tool we use, and the title we updated. We put a "™" symbol in there and the installer packager couldn't handle it without doing some extra work for it to recognize the extended character set. It's being looked at and should be resolved soon. Thanks for your patience

Regarding the Chinese language issues, we likewise are looking for an update from the vendor which hopefully will better handle this. Thank you again for the reports

Regarding Chinese garbled text,I think it's most likely the end user messed with the system fonts or that regard to cause this.

No, I have encountered dozens of people with this problem. On the contrary, the old versions of fences5 and fences4 do not have this issue

Can I count on you to post here when this issue is resolved so I can proceed to update my machine?  This will also give you time to ensure nothing else is wrong in this particular release.

Have you tried Fences 5.87 Beta? https://forums.stardock.com/532684 Look like there is changes in there that deal with localization. Please try it and report back.
