Regex for EXE files on filtered folders

Hi.

I want to filter my folder for *.exe files only. Like the example says "type png for all png files" why exe don't show any exe files ?

This Regex include filter only shows folder with exe in name - not extension ... I'm confused #:(

Hi allmers,

To make sure we can understand how you've produced any apparent issue with Stardock software, please see these linked guidelines and provide as much of the requested information/answers to the questions as possible.

In this case in particular, we would need your version/build numbers from Windows (winver.exe to get this) as-well as any relevant Stardock software version/build numbers.  A clarification of the steps you've taken to produce your results is also important.

Thank you and best regards,

Hi Adam.

Versions: Win11 23H2 22631.3880 | Start11 v2 2.08

Actually, the information already made is quite sufficient for a reproduction ...

Anyway:

1. manage filtered folder

2. New - 3. set Name - 4. OK

5. select destination folder - 6. C:\Tools - 7. OK

8. include Regex rule - 9. "exe" for all EXE files (like the example [type "png" for all PNG files]) - 10. OK

 11. pin Foldermenu - 12. custom filtered folde > 13. Tools

I expected that now only exe files are shown - like in the folder "Partition Wizard" these 9 files:

but unfortunately only a file with EXE in the name - and not as an extension - is displayed!

QUESTION: How to filter by extensions ?

Hello,
I play around with this a little and I found out that the filter only work on that main directory you have selected. For example from your screenshot you choose "tools" as the target directory, yes? So the filter will only list which ever under "tools" which is "Bat2Exe" only. I don't think it look deeper down into the child folders. That is why what ever under your "Partition Wizard" don't get listed. If you want those exe under "Partition Wizard" get listed. You should choose "Partition Wizard" as the target Folder. There might be a way search to include child directory. But, not sure how to. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on RegEx could share some tips.

Thank you.
