Start 11 Enhance Taskbar has broken Windows 11 Widgets.

Noticed that my widget icon disappeared at some point during the last couple days and after wasting time looking at other things I finally went and disabled taskbar enhancements in Start 11 and it came right back, but now it's on the right instead of the left. Evidently a recent windows update has changed the widget location from the left next to start/search/task to the right side like how it was in Windows 10. My guess is that that Windows change is probably the cause. Personally I prefer the old way but not sure if that's something Start11 can do. For now just want to report this and hope that a future update can restore widget button visibility with Start11 enhanced taskbar.

Which build of Windows 11 are you using?

Tested on my system Windows 11 Pro - 22635.3858; Start11v2 - 2.0.8.0

With the enhanced taskbar enabled, the Widgets icon disappears from the taskbar. It doesn't seem to matter whether the Start button is left or center aligned.

Sorry didn't think to include that last night.

Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2
OS build 22631.3880
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1020.0

Start11v2 - 2.08

Fix for this, most likely temporary, is to use the program vivetool to disable the change windows made to the widget.

Got this from a reddit user when trying to figure out how to disable the right aligned widget. You open that program, click on advanced, put 48660958 in the first box, second box blank. Select deactivate. Then restart explorer however you want.

Doing this I now have the weather widget back on the left with start11 enhanced taskbar enhanced working. So looks to me that it's definitely the change Microsoft is doing moving the widget from the left to the right doing something different that causes it to not show up with the start11 enhanced taskbar.

I am currently experiencing the same issue. I have chosen to toggle off the allow change to the Taskbar button. Using the OS taskbar places the widget icon to appear.

Unfortunately, the Widget only appears on the right and only if the taskbar is configured to "Left aligned" or "Left start button and center aligned taskbar buttons" are selected.
