Start11 Feature Request: Disable smooth scrolling

In both the Start menu itself and the Start11 settings window

On my Windows 11 PC, in Windows Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects, I turned off "Animation effects". Unfortunately, Start11 and its settings window still scroll smoothly. The settings window also scrolls a lot even when I roll my mouse wheel by just one tick and I set "Lines to scroll at a time" to 1 in Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse.

Are you using a mouse with accompanying software that includes a smooth scrolling setting?

My mouse software (Microsoft IntelliPoint) doesn't include a smooth scrolling setting. It does have an accelerated scrolling setting, but turning that off made no difference in Start11. Most other apps on my PC, such as File Explorer, Notepad++, SumatraPDF, and Brave, don't scroll smoothly with my current "animations off" Windows setting.

I also checked for the "Smooth-scroll list boxes" setting in advanced system settings (sysdm.cpl), but I couldn't find it. Other animation options are disabled there though.

Try unchecking "Smooth-scroll list boxes" in the System Properties. (See below)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. As a test, if you use Start11 Windows 7/Modern Style->All Program.

Does it also see your issue in there?

Thanks

I switched from the Windows 10 style (which had smooth scrolling) to the Windows 7 style. There is no more smooth scrolling in the All Programs list. |-) Same with the Modern style.
