Windows CoPilot+ PCs

I'm getting one (I don't care about Windows Recall, I want 12 real world hours of battery life) and I'm trying to figure out if Stardock's utilities are available (or will be available) in ARM-compiled versions. Yes, I know that Win11Arm has the Prism emulator but I'm assuming that emulated apps may draw more power and as noted, I'm looking for battery life.

It wouldn't surprise me if it were to happen, but there haven't been any announcements that I've heard or seen...

Yeah. I'd ask them but you'll note there is no way to do that.

Hello,
If you are active subscriber on Stardock Object Desktop. You should notice there are 4 Stardock software listed under Object Desktop Insider, namely DesktopGPT, Fences 5, Groupy 2 and Start11v2. These software are ARM capable.

Thank you.

I'm not a subscriber yet. I was interested in purchasing but needed to confirm it would work on my new machine. Big thanks for confirmation.

Revisiting - ARM capable sounds like they run as x64 or x86 in emulation mode (which means slower, less efficiently, eating more power than an ARM native version.

So I'm trying to find out if any Stardock software has been recompiled to be native ARM.

Are they ARM-compiled?  ARM capable really means it works through emulation on ARM, right?

Be aware that Stardock is closed for vacation, so it might be a few days before you get a response.

"Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, July 1st and we will be returning on Monday, July 8th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time."

When it comes to copilot+ there are a few things to take into consideration.

Arm processors have gotten more powerful. More powerful = less battery life even on an arm cpu. Initial tests shows that a ryzen "hs" version cpu is pretty close in comparison to a new arm cpu in actual battery life. Even some intel cpu's are getting good battery life in some setups. The gap really isnt very far at all.

Additionally, intel and AMD are set to release their copilot cpu's very soon and it may be worth seeing how they compare. Additionally, Microsoft and Nvidia will be updating all 4xxx series gpu's to copilot + by October by the latest. Of course a Nvidia gpu will consume the most power "when in use" but it will also outperform any cpu by a very wide margin when it comes to using any actual AI.

Okay but I bought a Copilot+ PC and I'm trying to determine whether Stardock has ARM-native versions out or in the works.  I don't want to buy if there are no clear plans to upgrade.  Object Dock has some cool stuff but a lot of it is only good for a desktop or docked PC where you have multiple monitors.

Working on a 13" laptop diminishing the impact of Object Dock. I might be interested the Desktop GPT.  I like Groupy and might want to use Start11 but not if it means running them exclusively in emulated mode.

That is probably a question you would want answered by Neil (the lead developer who is active on the forums). Unfortunately he is probably on vacation. I couldn't answer as I haven't yet been able to test the new snapdragon x, but it does seem like a good cpu I have been curious about!
