windows insider 23h2 issue

I know you guys stated that you dont provide support for insider preview builds.

but I dont know if you guys are aware start11 and widgets dont get along.

All because microsoft decided to move the widgets to the right side of the taskbar and it disappears when using enhancements in start11 to change taskbar size.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May we know which insider version you're referring to? Need to know the full OS build number.

Thank you.

While we do not support insider builds - the paramount reason is any reported issue could be gone the very next day.

That said, please post a screenshot of the results of running winver.exe as well as a share a link to video of the issue that you have uploaded to a cloud drive service of your choice (OneDrive, YouTube, etc).

Don't know if anybody will read this or not. I'm running the latest stable version of Win 11 23H2 as follows:

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 23H2

Installed on ‎11/‎9/‎2023

OS build 22631.3737

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1009.0

I only recently noticed that my "Widget" button has been moved back to the right side of the Taskbar, like it used to be in Win 10. The difference is, in Win10 they used "separators" to keep the widget in a set location off to the side of the "System Tray Icons" and that worked fine. Win 11 has it crowding those icons and covering the "Show hidden icons" arrow.  My question is: Will y'all be looking into this and working on a "fix" to get it positioned correctly? Or at least better?

Thanks

JDD

What version of Start11 are you running?

Are you using the Enhanced Taskbar?

The widget to the right side is an OS change with any current version of 24h2 (released with copilot+ or any version of an insider preview for the rest of us)

Widgets simply do not appear with "enhanced taskbar" on start 11v2 while using any version of 24h2. However, if "enhanced taskbar" is turned off widgets will appear as normal. This is what I have had to do for the last month or so.

Microsoft's update policy is pretty unpredictable right now, but sure enough the widgets to the right side is what they are pushing for in a lot of versions at the moment.
