Using Start 11 search clears all taskbar icons

Search not working

When I use the search box at the bottom of the Start 11 start menu, before I can complete the search all the icons disappear from the taskbar, it becomes blank, then a few seconds later it repopulates at normal size before reverting to the smaller size I have configured in Start 11 settings.  I get the feeling it's some kind of reset and rebuild, but why does a search trigger this unwanted effect?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. That is not normal behavior. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version number and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Start11 menu style: Windows 7/Modern style?
  4. Do you have Windowblinds running in the background?
  5. Any other 3rd party application installed that change Windows behavior in Start menu, taskbar and/or explorer.exe.

1: Win 11 version 23H2 OS Build 22631.3737

2: Start 11 version 2.08

3: Menu = Modern Style

4: No Windowblinds

5: No other apps affecting Start Menu, taskbar and/or explorer.exe

Please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finished. Re-download latest version again from your account product page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot again immediately after installation finished. Retest it and report back.
