Start 11 v2 - 2nd monitor not allowed to go full screen

When using autohide on Start 11 v2 if you have two monitors, the 2nd monitor is not allowed to go full-screen, and always has a empty space where the expanded task bar would sit.

Additionally, often on the 2nd monitor a black one pixel tall bar/strip will appear that does not go away - this strip sits where the top of the task bar would be and sits on top of windows but behind the mouse.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.Need more information on your system.

  2. Start11v2 version number.
  3. Monitors resolution and scale factor (100%, 150%, 200%) etc.
  4. Did you turn off Windows autohide setting when you're using Start11v2 Autohide function?

Thank you.

I assume both monitors are at the same resolution and scale, yes? Please try this, uninstall Start11v2, reboot immediately after uninstall finished. Re-download latest Start11v2 version. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back. If the issue still happen. Do you have any monitor management software running in the background. If you do, just as a test, disable it, reboot and retest it.

Thank you,

Both monitors are the same model/resolution/scale.

The issue persists after all troubleshooting methods.

I don't have any monitor management software either.

Hello again,

What troubleshooting methods have you tried? Need to know this so I don't suggest those steps you already done.

Thank you,

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and rebooted during the process.

I've also tried wiping my temp and %temp% folder.

I've do often switch primary displays from the left to the right and so on, perhaps this causes the issue - I'm not entirely sure. Restarting explorer fixes the issue so it is definitely an issue with Start11v2.

Thanks

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Hi,

I think I've wasted enough time trying to make your product work.

I will uninstall it and won't be reinstalling it again.

Please try to FIX issues instead of telling your customers to uninstall/reinstall it multiple times; software should not require reinstallation constantly to run adequately - it should just work.

This software is fundamentally broken, good luck with Start11 v3...

Sad to hear that. Do know there are lot of Start11 user using 2 or more screens and don't experience this issue on their system. I am also on 2 screens system and don't have this issue. This shows that the issue is unique to your system. Its either not installed properly or there is conflict with other software running in your system. That is why I asked you to do the purge and reinstall so that we can ensure that the installation is done properly. My second steps is either testing it on Windows sandbox and see if the issue exist in Sandbox or a Cleanboot to check if your Admin account was somehow corrupted and if there is other software causing the conflict. If you still interested  please review this two guides.
