Is 30-day free trial an Automated Payment?

I just activated 30 days free trial but the app didn't want credit card just like the other apps. What happens when 30 day trial ends?

The software stops working unless you buy it.

Stardock trials are free to try with no commitment, if you like it then you can buy the software but if not you can just uninstall it.

It will tell you before it is due to expire so you know.
