Old version of Fences

FENCES SOFTWARE UPGRADE

Several years ago I bought Fences software for my computer and have been using it since.

A few days ago I received a message from Stardock asking me to upgrade to the newest version (Fences v5.0) so I clicked on it and now every time I open my desktop I get a message from Stardock saying that I need to enter a product key to activate the software.

I do not need nor I intended to BUY another version of this software. The message from Satrdock led me to believe that this was a software update from the program that I bought in the past.

Please tell me what do I need to do to eliminate this new version of Fences and stay with the one I had before this upgrade. I do not need a new version nor do I need to pay more money for it.

Also, you need to make sure that your marketing emails are very clear and not deceiving like this case.

I am very disappointed that your company follows trhese predatory practices.

Thanks for your time,

If you purchased Fences as an individual app, it should be available on your Downloads page in your account.

If you have a Classic Subscription to Object Desktop, your Fences app should be also be available on your Downloads page in your account under "View Individual Downloads."

Uninstall Fences 5 and restart your computer; download the installer for the previous version you own; Install; restart your computer again.

I'm not sure if you will have to rebuild your fences or not.

Let us know how it goes.
