I've got a strange bug I can't figure out how to fix, Whenever a video starts playing or viewing any animated media in Chrome with anything but the default theme enabled in WB11 I get this strange flashing window. It does it for a few seconds when a video starts then stops and won't do it again until Chrome is relaunched. If I continue to use it without relaunching video plays back fine but websites like Google Earth and Maps perform horribly as if hardware acceleration gets turned off. I see that skinning isn't available on Chrome but it's almost acting like it's not getting disabled correctly or something and is still trying to apply a theme. I have gone through and made sure everything related to Chrome is disabled in WB11, Edge seems to not be affected at all. Any thoughts?
Here is a screen recording showing what happens when a video starts playing
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this, run Chrome under incognito mode, open up a youtube video, do you see the same issue?
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I did just re-test it and unfortunately it still happens even in incognito mode. The video that I recorded and linked is actually in incognito mode
Please try this, test it on cleanboot : https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot. Try it and report back.
Thank you,

I followed the instructions listed above and I’m still getting the same flickering issue. I also created a new admin user while still under clean boot and tested it on there as well with a fresh chrome & WB install, I still ran into the same problem on that account to.
Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
Thank you,Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Ok will do, I’ll give this a go tomorrow after I get off work. Thanks for your help this far!
I just went through and followed those instructions & retested everything again even in a clean boot environment and a new user and I still have the same issue. It even happens when I just mouse over the thumbnails on the youtube homepage and it plays the little video preview
This only happen on Chrome with video, no issue with other browser. If so, have you tried this guide?
