Bug Report - Bug Splat Every Reboot

.dmp files

Fences5 V5.53
Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3593)

I keep getting a popup Crash report "Bug Splat" when my computer reboots.
By all accounts, Fences5 is working.

.dmp sent in Bug Splat report using my name and email for my account here. (Sent at time of this posting)

I have to go to a meeting but will check back to find out what to do.

EDIT. Whilst typing this post 3 more crash reports. Screens go black then come back on. Appears that Explorer is restarting.

Yes, Explorer keeps restarting. Rebooted, checked everything. Followed advice on other posts. Explorer still restarting about every 10 minutes..

Sorry to read you are having issues.

I will assume you have had Fence 5 installed for some time and have only ever seen this issue the moment you installed Fences 5.53, yes?

Is this a work-issued PC or a personal one?

If you do a clean boot, does the issue still happen?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Nothing worked. Have uninstalled it an run an obscure install I found on my HDD. If there are previous versions (the one before 5.53 would be great) I’d appreciate knowing where they are.

Reinstalling 5.53 didn’t work, I eventually had to load a 3 month old image and lost a lot of changes to my OS. I see that I am not the only one in the forum getting bug/crash reports

We have a build we would like you to try...

https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Fences5_5.5.4.2-j56-Setup.exe

If you install that, do you still see the crashing?

We’re thinking it may fix. If it does not, submit a new crash report as we’ve added some additional logging to the report to help diagnose.

Thanks for the report and testing.

Hi. Thanks Sean for the reply.

Sorry for the delay, I have had to clean up, update and create new system images just in case something like this happens again.

I very much appreciate you sharing this new pre-release version with me. By all accounts it seems to have fixed the issue.

Just to be certain, after creating new images, I cleaned my old copy of Fences5 from my PC and reloaded Fences5 v5.53. Again, it gave me explorer restart issues.

I reloaded my saved image and updated to Fences5 v5.5.4.2-j56 and all seems to be good so far.
The PC has been running at least an hour whilst I have been using it and so far there have been no detrimental issues. Everything I checked with this version seems to be behaving normally.

I appreciate your help with this.

Regards.

The change is that we noticed (via the submitted BugSplan report) that iPooped had 6 monitors attached and made adjustments to account for such a high qty on a single PC.  Is that the case with you as well?

I probably should have mentioned that this time around also, sorry.
