Window Blinds 11 corrupts menus

I'm having problems with Window Blinds 11 corrupting windows, particularly hiding menu items.

Here is what I see in one example

It should look like this (after I uninstalled Window Blinds 11):

The problem with trying different skins is that my PC seems to hang when I change skin - the taskbar disappears and there's corruption in various other windows.

I eventually uninstalled Window Blinds 11, but even that corrupted the display until I rebooted.

I'd be willing to try again but is this a problem anyone else has experienced and what should I be looking for to stop it happening?

TIA, Stephen

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

  1. Windows 7,8,10 or 11 system? Also need its version and full build number. Use Winver.exe to get those.
  2. Is the missing tabs issue also appear on Windows Control panel's such as "Internet properties"? Something like screenshow below.
  3. Some very old skin will cause you hang issue, those skin are not compatible with Windowblinds 10/11. Is this hang issue on any of the skin that come along with Windowblinds?

Thank you.

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 22H2 Build 19045.4412

I tried a number of different skins, all of which came with Window Blinds 11. Sometimes the missing menus were just hidden owing to the colour being almost the same as the background. Others, parts of dialog boxes were not displaying correctly. It didn't seem to affect all windows, which is why I only just discovered the problem on this app. For example, the window above was fine.

Having uninstalled it, I cannot check anything else until I reinstall it. I'm also concerned at the hanging and loss of taskbar, which makes things difficult.

Can you suggest a way forward? I don't mind reinstalling it but would like some direction as to what to try next.

Thanks,

Stephen

Saelwell, I suggest checking out all the postings on this forum in regard to Windowblinds 11. There may be a answer that fits your situation. Also, a purge and reinstall of Windows 11 should help resolve the situation.

Thanks. I suspect this doesn't have a simple answer. I'll try reinstalling and investigating further. I do notice one other window corruption problem has disappeared after uninstalling Window Blinds 11 that I thought might have been caused by Groupy. I'll have a better idea of what to check once I reinstall.

Thanks for the various help. I'll update the post if I find anything useful.
