Need help with Windowblinds 11

Won't install new blinds

i have wanted to install some blinds i downloaded from wincoustomize but when i double click on them, I get this error:

There appears to be no .uis file in this skin.  Are you sure it is a WindowBlinds skin?

It doesn't ask yes or no, it just has an ok button and that's it.  it doesn't install or anything.  i thought that it was just one or two doing it but every one i tried is doing it.  what is wrong?

any help would be greatly appreciated.  thanks in advance

This indicates two things. There is more to the file than just a .wba theme. It is actually a combination of different files that are part of the same file. Do you have windowblinds on your system, and is it working correctly with the skins already installed and built in? If so, try double clicking on just the .wba file after extracting all those files with a zip unzip app.

Or the download could have been corrupted somehow due to network issues. Report back. Hopefully we can resolve this soon.

Also, it might be the Windowblinds skin is too old to work with Windowblinds 11. I used to have some very old WB skins in my library that don't work with WB10, could cause WB to hang if load. I have since delete off those skins from my library.

As a general advice, do take note of skin upload/last updated date and review those user comment, don't download those very old skin, unless you're using older version of that applications. And, if someone in the comment section said the skin don't work. It might be true.

i figured it out. i use high ascii characters for my folder names so i can sort them better.  using the alt-number pad trick to generate:

· ──{ Downloads

would be alt 250, alt 255, alt 196, alt 196, alt 196, { Downloads.

I put it in a normal folder such as c:\temp and it installed fine.  just for someone else having the problem, this might be the source.  i just don't understand why it said it was missing a .uis file when trying to install from aforementioned folder

Thanks for you suggestions anyway.
