Apps Grouping

When I pin an app to the start menu, I do not want to pin to a group or create a group.  Under V1, you pin the app and then group later.  How do we turn this function off?

Using the Windows 10/11 etc menus in all versions of Start11 you have to have a group for an icon to be in.

Is your complaint that the pin to start menu now has a sub menu showing all your available groups?  In the past this just picked the bottom group on any page.
