Stardock Central

This may be the wrong place to post this but I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Stardock and I'm not sure if this is a Stardock or a WinCustomiize issue.. I purchased a two year subscription to WinCustomize during the recent subscription drive. I have also purchased Icon Packager, Icon Developer, WindowBlinds and Cursor XP (yeah, should have bought the suite but didn't know I was going to love this stuff so much!).

Anyhow, recently I started Stardock Central. I was advised there was an update for Stardock Central, so I let it update. After the update, I let it reboot and started Stardock Central again. I am presented with a screen that tells me to "Activate your WinCustomize Premium Subscription". HUH? IF I click on the link, I am presented with a shipping cart with one item already entered for a WinCustomize subscription for $19.95!!

I just purchased this subscription on December 19th of last year and it's good for two years. I can't use the broswer in Stardock Central (Skins& Themes button does nothing) I sent a support request to Stardock but got an automated response which told me to reinstall everything which I have already done. Anyone have any ideas???? TIA

I think you need to make sure your serial number is entered correctly

Thanks for the reply but I guess I wonder what the serial number would have to do with anything considering this all started with a notice that there was an update to Stardock Central... I dunno... I also just noticed that none of my programs (IconDeveloper, IconPackager,WindowBlinds and Cursor XP) don't show up as installed programs in Stardock Central when they used to BEFORE the update. Seems to me that Stardock Central blew a fuse on its own update!!

In the bottom right corner of SDC (on Statusbar) you will see "Rigistration Info" double click this, on the dialogue you will see various Tabs, enter any serial numbers (for the various programs) here, and just to be sure reboot and try again

SDCentral needs to have you enter the info so it is passed through the servers so you subscription is verified.

Something else, did you possibly register you WinCustomize Subscription with a different email address and yet, used the same Stardock Store account used to purchase other products which you used a different email address with?

I mean, Stardock Store: Product-WinCustomize Subscription : Shipping info - John, Doe, email address-johndoe(at)@myemail.net

then Wincustomize Registration (for creating a user account on the site, not buying a subscription): name John, Doe : Screen Name: TunieV : email: TunieV(a)hotmail.com

The reason I ask is that your WinCustomize account might be assigned to the : johndoe(at)mymail.net

yet your User account is assigned to : TunieV(at)hotmail.com

and they are not syncing

if that is the case, you can change your User account at WinCustomize to reflect the one you used to purchase it at the store and then validate, once that is done, change it back at WinCustomize to reflect the one you want it to use...

You can also do the change after validation at WinC, while in SDCentral...

dunno if that will help, just a possibility
