Start11 and ObjectDock

As there is a certain amount of overlap in these two products, does anyone have any thoughts about using them together? Or is it better to regard them as completely independent? I guess it will be possible to have a DOck on one screen edge and the Taskbar controlled by Start11 on another, but are there more interesting things that can be done? How, if at all, do they interact? Can I have a Dock using the Start11 start menu, taskbar, and notification area?

Hello,

Currently, from what I know, there is no direct communication between both application. But, in the future it might, but, I can not be absolutely sure on it. Before, there was no connection between Fences and Start11, but now with Start11v2 you can include Fences into Start11v2 as Group on your start panel, which is pretty cool for me.

Thank you.

I am willing to bet object dock could be used two ways for two different types of users.

1. It replaces the traditional taskbar. In this case start 11 and object dock would benefit from closer ties with things such as the start menu. However things like notification area are not yet incorporated.

or

2. The way I prefer to use it. More as an separate extension that works independently of the taskbar. Like an adjustable app launcher or tabbed organizational tool for things like web links.

In my opinion option 2 currently works better for objectdock use but future updates could change that.
