Fences 5 moves after a restart in Win 11

locked fences scrunch up to the left on the monitor

Just updated to Fences 5 for my wife's LT from prior fences and everything looked fine, but as soon as she powers off and then back on all the fences go to the left even with them being locked.  Is this a known issue?  I moved them all back and on a restart everything stays where it is supposed to be, but on a complete power down they are all messed up when the system comes up and in addition the title of the fence boxes are now in a big font while icons and other desktop items are normal size.

Any suggestions?  Can I roll her system back to the prior version as she is ready to dump the system with this annoying issue.

Basj,

New version does the same thing.  As soon as I plugged in an external HDMI monitor all the fences moved to the left and some ended on top of each other.  Unplugged monitor and restarted LT and Fences stayed all jumbled up to the left and overlaid.

Moved fences to back where they were and powered down system.  Powered system back up  All fences stayed where they were moved.

Plugged HDMI monitor back in and fences showed in correct position on external monitor.

Powered down LT and monitor and brought both back up at the same time and the fences stayed in their correct position on the LT screen and the external monitor.

Maybe something to do with reading the monitor info from the system, as it was odd it failed the first time but worked correctly after all devices were powered off then on.

More:

Extended display to second screen and moved one of the fences to the second monitor and restarted system.

Fences showing correctly on the LT screen and the second monitor is showing the moved fence in the correct position on that monitor as well.  No fence moved, everything stay were it was supposed to be.

This version may have solved the issue, but will continue to test tomorrow.

Thanks

Basj,

Okay, turned the external monitor off and then restarted LT.  The Fence on the external window did not move to the main screen.  Upon power-up of the external monitor, the Fence on it was where it was supposed to be, so it is looking pretty good.  Moving a fence from the LT screen to the external monitor automatically adjusts the size and resolution to match the monitor's capability.

So it is looking pretty promising that this issue may be fixed, however, I have limited systems and monitors to test unless I can unistall Fences 5 and then reinstalling on my 3 monitor system.

Thanks for the use of the beta version.

Chuck

Great, nice to know it is working for you. Hopefully, these changers in this version also help with others with similar issue on multi monitor setup. My guess is, Dev and Support are collecting information before moving it to Betas or release version soon.

Thank you,
