start10_64.dll contains an error

from Stardock Forums

When my computer starts, I get this pop-up:

Start11 seems to work fine. I don't get this message on the other computer that I have Start11 on. I tried installing it again, but no change. I did not uninstall before installing.

Windows 10 Enterprise. Start11 2.05.

I'm almost certain it is Intel, but I left the laptop at work. I'll check the CPU tomorrow.

If it is not ARM cpu, try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, re-download latest version again, just to be sure. Install it, reboot again immediately after installation finished. Retest it and report back.

When I try to uninstall, it says Start11 is running and tells me to exit it. No idea how to do that. Should I just ignore that message?

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I did all that. I still get the error pop-up. Processor is 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11950H @ 2.60GHz   2.61 GHz.

The computer that is giving this error isn't by any chance running a 32-Bit version of Windows 10?

What app does cytray belong to?

It looks to be an error in that process, probably mistakenly turning on errors on whilst blocking third party dll loading.  They would need to fix this themselves as outside our control.  Microsoft made this mistake in the remote assistance app a few years ago before they fixed it.
