2.31 update installed, slow again like December.

I don't play the game regularly, so I haven't played since December.   Yesterday, I opened Steam made sure GalCiv updated and tried to play.  New games and old saves are VERY slow.

Truthfully, it is like someone left "debug mode" on for the release of the update.

Peter - I haven't seen any issues with new update running slow.  I play max settings except only 8 AI's, so maybe it only affects you if you're playing a lot of AI civs?

I am only playing 3 AI civs.   Weird, it was faster anyway before the December update.

I was having issues with my old rig, the CPU kept getting stuck at .8GHz, so I figured that was causing any speed issues I was having.  Got a new rig for my birthday - i7-13700KF 3.40 GHz (runs @ 5.40 GHz), 16 cores, 32GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe SSD, RTX 4070Ti w/12GB GDDR6x, LG32QHD monitor w/ 165Hz refresh rate &1ms MBR., and the game runs like greased lighting.

Steam saw an update, installed it and new and old games now load move at normal speed.    There is no hanging.
