WindowBlinds themes are broken

I have been having lots of issues with WindowBlinds, with the themes. I am on Windows 11(Non Beta).

Please see below for all the issues I have been experiencing:

Taskbar is not fully themed (Look next to the windows 7 logo).

Taskbar

Same thing, Taskbar with another theme, and you can see the windows 11 taskbar is still in darkmode, even though I have it in lightmode.

The buttons are not themed correctly and look glitched at times.

When in full screen the buttons go off the screen.

To be able to help you, we need to know what theme(s) aren't working. Please post link(s).

Have you tried one of the default skins that come with Windowblinds? Do they skin correctly?

What is your screen resolution & scaling?

What version of Windowblinds do you have installed?

Is it possible that the .wba files could be somehow corrupt or messed up due to a bad download? That sometimes happens, not because of anything that Wincustomize or Stardock has done, but because of a problematic internet connection of some sort. Or perhaps Windowblinds itself is messed up somehow, and should be redownloaded and reinstalled. Has a simple reboot been tried? Other things to look at are possible memory issues, power supply issues, though I doubt that that is the issue here, but you never know. There are a number of different variables that could result in this issue.

I just tried reinstalling WindowBlinds right now, and it is still has the same issues. What other things could I try?

If you try, those themes that come along with Windowblinds such as Corporate or Acrylic 7, do you have similar issue?

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

What other software are you using to customize your system? (Explorerpatcher, OldNewExplorer, StartISBack, etc.) The reason I ask, is that it's unlikely Windowblinds is the cause. And the start button inside another button like in your screenshot is not normal at all:

All I have had is OpenShell. I uninstalled it, but it did not make a difference. I did reboot my computer after.

Resolution: 1440p with 150% zoom

I assume by that, you mean 2560X1440? Is that the default (recommended) resolution for your screen

Could you try to set the scaling to 100% just for a test to see if it makes any difference?

Yes  it is the default recommended. I set it to 100%, then restarted explorer, but I still have the same issues. I also tried, applying a different theme.

Do you have any other software installed that dealing with your Start menu and/or taskbar? StartallBack, Explorer patcher etc?

I did have start all back about a few months ago. But I uninstalled it a month ago. Nothing is changing the start menu or taskbar other than WindowBlinds.

Right now I do not have anything that changes the start menu or taskbar.

One thing I noticed is that if I restart windows explorer, it shows the windowblinds taskbar for about 2 seconds before overlaying the regular windows taskbar.

I wonder if it could be a windows issue?

Have you tried the purge and reinstall steps, I suggested above? If yes, what is the result?

Yes, I did try the purge and reinstall steps. It did not seem to change anything. The taskbar and buttons are still messed up.

Thank you

I tried the clean boot, everything works now. The buttons look normal. Except for the Taskbar. The regular windows 11 taskbar is still overlayed.

Thank you

Might need to do a Windows fresh install for that, something else has change when you install those other applications and did not revert back to default when you uninstalled. Or, you can do 30 days trial on Stardock Start11 and see if that help resolve this issue.

Thank you.

Thanks! The themes work good now. Is there a way to exclude Steam games? Without having to manually exclude every Steam game.
