Cannot Replace Icons with Icons Developed in Stardock Icon Developer

Icon Developer

I have been using Icon Developer for years because I am a visual person. I am running Stardock Icon Developer on Windows 10 Pro. Just lately after creating a desktop icon in Icon Developer and then going to my desktop icon and right clicking on it and going into properties I then point to my new .ico icon that I created. Instead of getting my new icon it just displays a white rectangle. I have tried unistalling my software and then re-installing it and I get the same results. I have even unistalled all my Stardock applications and reinstalled and I still get the same thing. I hope there is a genius out there who can help me. I am a disabled Vet and I use these icons to help me. Please help me.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, from what I know, Icons developer is just an Icon maker/editor software. It is not for changing icons. As for icon changing. That will be control by Windows itself or other software such as Stardock IconPackager.

May I know, which desktop icon, you specifically trying to change? I will try to change it and see if the issue also appear on my system. Do know, Microsoft changed and block lots of places that we can no longer customize it ourself.

Thanks.
