Task bar misaligned in Start 11 v2

On Windows start-up I frequently find that my taskbar has been misaligned by Start 11 on my primary monitor.  This has happened literally since the first release of Start 11, and it's still happening even on the latest release (2.05).

The issue doesn't occur on my secondary monitor - only my primary.

As you can see the first icons are lower than the rest, and the whole "system tray" area is below the line.

To get it to align properly I have to go into Start11 settings, then Taskbar, then click "restart explorer".

So it's not a critical issue, but also doesn't sit well, particularly where Start11 is now on its second major release and the issue still isn't resolved.

Open Start11 settings, go to taskbar and scroll to the bottom.

Change the option at the bottom from automatic to touch and it should be fine.

I have exactly the same problem.  If I restart explorer it brings up the task bar enough so I can see what is in it, but it is still misaligned

For those of you with the issue, is this a new issue for you or has been like that for some time?

We have had an idea for a tweak to the touch mode taskbar detection for the next build, but in the meantime using the detection override should solve the problem.

As I said in my original message, it's been happening since the very early in the Start11 cycle (1.x, but I can't recall which I had as my first install).

I've changed that setting to "force touch mode device" as was suggested above, (even though my computer is not a touchscreen), if it happens again I'll let you know.

I think Feb 2023 is the earliest it could have happened as that's when the touch taskbar was added by Microsoft.  Prior to that the taskbar was consistent on all machines.

Whilst you may know your computer lacks touch, apparently the OS has different ideas which is the problem we face.  We have even had computers with touch not being detected as having it by some part of Windows.

This is pretty recent for me like the past 2 or 3 weeks.  I DO have a touch screen but that is not my primary monitor.  Surface Pro 9 with TV as main monitor.

I just installed start11 so I can’t offer past input.  My machine does have a touch screen, however.  I’ll try the fix above and report back if I continue to have issues,
