Start 11 v2 Pricing

Can somebody please explain to me why a product that costs USD 7.99 (which by the way at current exchange rate at time of this post = EUR 7.38 - that's 7.38 Euros), ends up costing us EUR 9.99...???

Don't get me wrong, it's a good product, and I have been paying since the start, I don't mind paying, but why do we have to pay the equivalent of about $2.50 more for it?

The price varies in most countries around the world due to local VAT & tax.

If you buy online from outside the EU

From 1 July 2021, the VAT exemption on goods up to a value of €22 from outside the EU no longer applies. All goods arriving into Ireland from non-EU countries are subject to VAT.

Some online retailers are registered with the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) so that VAT can be included in the price you pay for the goods. Before you make a purchase, check whether the advertised price includes tax and duty costs.

Customs duty is charged on goods with a value over €150.

NOTE: I believe the VAT in Ireland is 23%.
