Start11: Unable to drag shortcut to first row or to another tab

https://imgur.com/a/lcUhcBQ

I am unable to drag and drop a shortcut to the first row in a tab group or to another tab. Start11 turns the dragged shortcut red when it is over the first row or a tab. Dragging to other rows on the same tab works fine.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I believe this issue was resolved on Start11 2.05 :

Refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/524909/

"Adjustments to potentially help with being unable to drag the top line of the top group around sometimes"

Looking back, this might also deal with issue on your other thread too.

Thanks

Kind of. Not really. I can now drag a shortcut to a different tab, but it drops it into a folder with the first shortcut already on that tab, and now I cannot drag the shortcut out of the folder--unless I drag it onto the first row. Even more of an issue is that dragging a shortcut does not display where the shortcut will be dropped. The drop target is incorrectly highlighted--if at all, and it often ends up creating a folder  with an existing shortcut when the user really wants it to just be moved. There are also still red "denied" spots that should not happen (IMO).

Are you able to make a backup of your Start11 settings and send me the link in a private message so we can try to reproduce locally?

Be aware it does contain information on your apps installed etc but we will delete it once we have tried it out.

Yes and yes.

Update: This forum does not allow attachments on PMs. What file-share service would you like me to use to send the .S11Backup to you?

Update update: NM. I just pasted the file contents into the PM. It's just a reg file anyway. :)

We think we have identified an issue to do with rounding the x and y grid coordinates which impacts dragging things around.  We have yet to test this fix against this specific issue but plan to do so later this week.

No. Start11 did not notify me there was an update available.
