delay/speed in opening menu

any way to improve instantiation speed?

not all the time, but sometimes it takes a while for start11 v2 to instantiate the menu. Are there any settings I can tweak? Using the latest beta (2.05)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know on you Windows 10 or 11 and need its full version number. Use Winver. Also, need to know which Start11 v2 style using?

I don't see that much lag. I see a little bit lag when first time opening the start panel right after boot. But once all the icons loaded it quite fast for me. What you can do, you can try disable Startpanel sliding animation and turn off show app list in start menu. Cutting down on using custom image/icons might also help.

I don't see the lag you are talking about either. The Start11 menu has to repaint after an Explorer restart or a computer restart, but other than that, the Start11 menu loads equally as fast as the Windows default Start menu.

I have 96 custom icons, eight groups with a total of 23 tabs on the Windows 10 style menu. My Start11 menu is about twice the real estate of the Windows default Start menu (40" 4K monitor) and I'm not seeing any difference between my Start11 menu and the Windows default Start menu load times.
