I am not sure why, but my Taskbar keeps expanding vertically! Keeps getting stuck about double the height -

Example Problem:

I can reset it to the normal 'Small' sizing with -

  • Taskbar → Advanced Taskbar Tweaks -> Taskbar Size: 'Small'

But it just keeps resetting!! What the heck, here is an example video -

This is really weird. Using Start11 v2.03 on Win11 Home v23H2, what is happening? How can I get the Small sizing to stick for the taskbar?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Look like you have accidentally click and drag your taskbar to be double row. Try click and drag it down, back to single row. Once that is done. Reboot and see if the setting stick.

Thanks

Not sure why your "Lock taskbar" is gray out. Here is what I get on mine. Do you have any other application running that control how your taskbar work?

Thank you,

That is greyed out if you have autohide enabled in the operating system.

Hi  Neil when I disable auto-hide, the Taskbar goes to its correct height but now the Start menu button and Notification Area icons are offset!! See below -

Single-Row Bug (Auto-Hide:F):

  • Height - Correct
  • Auto-Hide -  Disabled :(
  • Start Menu Button - Vertical offset?
  • Notification Area - Vertical offset?

Double-Row Bug (Auto-Hide:T):

  • Height - Too big!
  • Auto-Hide -  Enabled ♥
  • Start Menu Button - Full displayed now
  • Notification Area - Full displayed now

Bug Thoughts:

  • Taskbar buttons - Top Orientation
  • Start Menu button & Notification Area - Bottom Orientation

This looks like a new bug for v2, can we squash this? I want the auto-hide feature :)

It looks like your computer is believed to have a non touch interface when it has one.  At the bottom of the taskbar page there is an option to tell Start11 which it is.
