Annoying lag and cannot copy and paste one way

For a long while now my link between two computers has been very laggy. I notice if I close ALL my programs it eventually gets to a usable speed, but this isn't good because I constantly use opera and outlook on this particular machine. The machine is a AMD Ryzen 9 3900x with 32gb of memory and ssd hard drives using a USB Gigabit NIC connected at gigabit speeds.

Also if I copy text or anything from my primary pc, and paste it into something on my secondary PC, it lags up the application and eventually just frees up the app or errors out with various errors depending on what I'm pasting and what program I'm pasting into.

However I can copy from my secondary PC to my primary PC anything perfectly fine.

Primary PC: Windows 11 23H2
Secondary PC: Windows 11 21H2

Also I'm getting a lot of "computer has connected, lost connection" multiplicity messages in the bottom right. Not sure why. Network wise the computer seems fine with everything else.

Any ideas on how I can improve this situation?

Thank you.

The clipboard not working will be a firewall issue.

Most likely the primary computer is set to be on a public network not private/work one.  In that state the firewall will block incoming connections which will stop the clipboard functionality working from primary to secondary as the secondary asks the primary for the clipboard data.

Are both PCs using wired connections?

Firewalls are completely off. Set on private networks. Both systems using gigabit wired connections.

Still having these issues.

elementalwindx, you have been using MP for several years.  Its safe to assume you have been using it trouble-free until recently.  Since MP did not change, logically, something else has...

As has been noted, this is almost always some network issue (includes Firewalls and AV apps).  For what are likely obvious reasons, troubleshooting those (network) issues are just not something we can get too deep into.  Thus, the path of least resistance is to purge \ reinstall MP on all PCs

Once complete on ALL MP PCs, please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

The issue has been happening for years. I've just been putting up with it. It sucks. I've been looking at other alternative software to use such as Synergy. Haven't experienced the issue with them yet, but they have their own issues since its a buggy beta program.

I've tried purging and reinstalling MP before several times actually.

The issue has been happening for years.
End of elementalwindx's quote

So 'years' means it has always been this way - copy \ past of text \ files \ images has never worked well for you since you 1st activated MP3 in 2019?

That would certainly be a shame as that is not what is expected nor is your issue experienced by all others who use MP under the proper conditions.  The majority of Stardock uses it as well so we are certainly 'eating our own dog food' as they say.

It would be interesting to see if you could reproduce the issue under a Windows cleanboot and under new (temp) Windows Admin accounts on at least 2 MP PCs (the Primary and Secondary):
