Start11 Performance

Hey, Was trying Start11 and the performance decrease in opening the Windows menu is noticable compared to Windows 11 default. You click it and you have wait a little longer than native!

Also, the animation is rather uneven and not smooth.

Anything I can do to fix these issues?

The first question is what version of Start11 are you using?

The animation should be smooth and the timing is set to be pretty much identical to the OS one so that shouldn't be happening.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If I remember correctly, don't have any such issue recently reported on Start11. Please try this, just to make sure it was install properly, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall finish. Re-download latest available Start11 for you, install it. Reboot again, retest and report back.

Also, if it still happening. Need more information from you.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And need its full version number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 version number.
  3. Post a video of the issue so we understand it better.

I am not sure if I am being too picky, but the Windows 11 default seems smoother to me! And quicker.

It look the same to me, might be, to you, it "seem" slower since it has a bigger Start panel vs the thinner/smaller Windows default menu.

I've been trying again since and it does load a fraction of a second longer than native Windows start menu. Its a fraction of a second longer but still noticeable and annoying!

Have you tried Start11 v2.05 yet? There are Performance tweak done recently.
