There isn't a Users Guide for Start11v2, but I will try to get you started.
Open Start11v2 and make sure the toggle is turned on in the top right corner.
Now, select the Style of Start Menu you want to use, and then click "Configure Menu."
Once there, you will see "Customize menu visual appearance" and if you scroll down you will see "Advanced Options" unless you chose Windows 7 style or Modern style menus.
Click "Customize menu visual appearance" and try changing some of the settings here to see how this effects your start menu.
Click "Advanced options" and make your selections.
Now select "Taskbar" from the left column, and make your selections for how you want the taskbar to look.
In the left column, "Taskbar pins" allows you to pin files, folders, and folder menus to the taskbar.
In the left column, "Search" allows you to choose between Windows 11 search and Start11 search.
In the left column, "Control" allows you to change how you interact with Start11 and the Windows start menus.
In the left column, "Settings backup" allows you to back up and restore your Start11 settings.
You will need to experiment with different settings until you get the Start menu you like.
Once you get your Start11 menu set up, open the Start menu and begin pinning shortcuts to the menu.
There are many options available on the Start11 menu with a right click context menu. You will need to experiment with these to find the look you want.
Here are a few of the options:
- Colored backgrounds for Start11 menu group and tab backgrounds
- Apply transparency to group and tab backgrounds
- Apply texture to group and tab backgrounds
- New Tabs feature in groups
- Pin installed application from Start11 context menu
