Install button

Start11 button shows Install, but to older version of the product.

I have version 4.03 (4.3.7830.30748) of Object Desktop and version 2.03 of Start11. The Start11 button is labeled Install, but hovering over the button shows Install v1.47.2. Can the Object Desktop and Start11 (and likely other Object Desktop software) development teams get together once in awhile to update each other on the current versions of the various softwares?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But this is what I saw on my ODM. When Start11 v2 is installed. The ODM button on Start11 v2 will be open while, since Start11 v2 is installed. Start11 v1 button will be "Install". This is perfectly normal. Since Start11 v2 has replaced Start11 v1. There Start11 v1 no longer installed.

It is confusing that Start11 Install is at the top, above the other "Open" apps which are grouped at the top, and not with the other uninstalled apps. It is the first one that I see. Now that I understand that it is not the one I need to open, which is further down the list, I won't worry about accidentally installing the older version on top of the new one.

It would be nice if there was a warning that you are installing a lower version during the installation process, in case one accidentally clicks Install of the v1.47 version. It would save the hassle of having to uninstall the old one to be able to re-install v2 again.
