Start 11 2.03 missing start button on primary monitor

Missing start button on my primary monitor, but is showing ok on my secondary monitor. The Start button is just invisible (blank - not showing - not using a Start11 button, colour or background of any sort) but it does open the start menu if you click where it should be.

Windows 10, Windowblinds 11.02 (017 - Windows 10 Edition), Start 11 v2.03

Start 11 is set as 'Windows 7 style' and the start menu is displaying the Windowblinds skin I'm currently using as expected. But no start button. Doesn't matter which skin I apply.

(Note that the start button did make a mysterious re-appearance on one reboot. Now disappeared again!)

Ta.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your Windows 10 version number. Need full version number. Use Winver.exe.

Few questions.

  1. Missing Start button only on Primary monitor and never in secondary monitor?
  2. To confirm, the issue also happen on default WB skin such as Diamond, Lantana etc?
  3. Does restart Explorer.exe resolved the issue? At least temporarily?
  4. You said it reappear upon reboot. What steps you take to make it disappear again?

Note: I too see this issue sometimes on my Windows 10 system. But, since not many people reported it, if I remembered correctly, none recently, I assume it was just my system acting up from too many installing uninstalling Stardock product for testing. So help me find as many information as I can so we can push up the issue to Support and Dev.

Thanks
Basj,

Windows version 22H2 OS Build 19045.3693

1. correct - missing only on primary, always present on secondary

2. yes - any skin, including default skins like Diamond, Echo etc.

3. restarting explorer didn't resolve the issue (in fact slightly borked the taskbar and needed to reload the WB skin - still no start button)

4. although it did seem to reappear at one point after a reboot, after the next shutdown/start cycle it had gone again..

Ah... So if I start windows (no button), wait until windows is fully started up, then restart windows, it seems to reinstate the start button.

Do you have any other customizing software like open shell on your system?

Doc, are you seeing the issue too? You on WB11/Windows 10? with two monitors?

End of DrJBHL's quote

No. Just Start 11, WB 11, Iconpackager.

No, basj. I'm on 11 atm.

At first I thought of explorer.exe restart, but saw you did too. Next, open shell or another customizing program interacting.

Another thought is maybe the boot sequence timing is off by some milliseconds...so that maybe changing boot sequence timing or using an app that shows timing could help diagnose the problem? I bet Neil would know what's up.

No rush gents.. Happy to wait for Neil to give his thoughts

If possible, post a video grab of your issue would be great.
