Start11 delay

Is there means to delay the appearance of a hidden taskbar by a short period?

With my Excel maximized, and with some other apps, Start11 showing up as fast as it does causes it to occlude my being able to click the window minimize and shrink (whatever the right word is...) icons in the upper right (i place my taskbars at the top of the screen) as they occupy the same area that triggers Start11.

Presently my solution is a narrow taskbar with a maximum Y offset, which allows access to the very top of the window controls. This works, but being able to set a delay of the un-hiding of the taskbar in fractions of a second or two would be a preferable solution (i think(!

Thank you,

-Bruce

Are you using the Start11 enhanced mode autohide feature or the Windows native one?

Also the bar should only appear when you hit the very top pixel (or bottom depending on taskbar position).  That said if you are using rounded mode this may impact things as there is a bug with that in one mode causing it to trigger early.

I am also assuming you are using the 2.01 beta update available from your store downloads.  If not I recommend you do as it has a number of important tweaks.

Time to download the beta, using enhanced and the Start11 autohide, and yes, maximum rounded!

 Thank you!!!

It is on your downloads on the store, but I would hold off a while as we are going to update it today.

The Start11 Beta 2.0.2.0 is now available on your Account>Downloads, and includes:

  • Added registry key "S11_DelayAutoHide" which when given a value of "1" will delay autohide show/hide.  Create in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8

This key does not exist in the update but is addressed by the update. You will have to add it. If you need help, let me know.
