Hi all - I'm a recent user. Although I've never got Start 11 to look the way I want, it has worked

Last night windows updated and now Start 11 does nothing at all. I tried opening it and checking it all but still wont work, and I even re-downloaded it from Stardock, reinstalled it and then entered all my settings but nothing

I just get the standard Windows 11 start menu and it's awful - I cant find anything

Is anyone able to help?

Well as an update - very occasionally when I hit the start button it shows Start11, but about 95% of the time shows W11. Hitting the Win key on the keyboard always shows Start11

 

If anyone has any ideas it would be great

I need it to work in my actual windows environment, not a cleanboot one

If it works without issues when you clean boot, it shows that something else might be causing it.

It worked without issues when I first installed it. Then it stopped.

Unless I leave it installed in a cleanboot for months using it every day to see if it goes wrong, that's not really any help at all

Okay, it start happening when you update Windows recently, yes? It might be that the Windows updates is not perfectly installed and causing the issue. Can you tried rolling back Windows update to the previous version and see if that work.

Note: We are trying to suggest steps for you to try, but if you aren't willing to help yourself with it. There is nothing much for us to do.

Second Note: Clean boot is just for short time just to confirm that it work without any other application running and a new clean admin account. Lot of time, just simply create a new admin account resolve the issue. I am not saying it will surely resolve your issue. But it worth to try.

I created a new admin account and its exactly the same - windows key launches Start11, windows button launches the awful W11

I dont have time to try the cleanboot at the moment but will when I get time

Hi - I tried the cleanboot and it seems to be working int here for the moment - but then it worked on my normal windows for a while too

It's still not working on my PC - what would the next step be please?

When in cleanboot, you disable any application that suppose to load on start up, yes? If yes, which application you load that start to make the issue reappear?
