Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Is this a new Windows fresh install system? Usually the new tag will be gone after a few days.

Thank you.

Windows 10 Pro was installed around one week ago yes and I installed Start11 yesterday. So you are sure the new tag will go away within a few days? Another issue I have is that the 'Show recently installed apps' list is always returning after a restart despite having unticked it several times.

I just tested on my Windows 10 and when I am on Windows 10 style and a disable "Show recently added apps". There is no recently added apps, but, there is Suggested app list.

This is an issue with Win Pro, Win App and Win launcher style menus.  It will be resolved in the next update.

So just updated to v2. The same problems persist. the text saying new under every newly installed app dispite having 'Do Not Highlight New Applications' turned on. Also the same problem of recently installed always there. Even if I choose to untick 'show recently installed apps', After a restart it just returns...

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know:

  1. Windows 10 or 11? And need its full version number. Use Winver.exe
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Which Start11 style you're using?
  4. Screenshots pointint to your settings and the area you are referring to.

Thank you.

Seem the issue appear when you turn on "Use Windows 10 Style all programs list rather than Windows 7 style". Try turn that option off and see if the issue still there. Report back.
