(Seamless) Mouse and keyboard can no longer be used if the secondary computer is disconnected.

Unfortunately, it happens that the secondary computer shuts down on its own. If I don't notice it and move the mouse from the primary computer to the secondary computer, I can no longer use the keyboard and mouse. This problem does not exist with MouseWithoutBorders.

How can I recreate this error?

  • seamless mode (secondary is on the left)
  • a primary computer controls a secondary computer
  • the mouse icon / control is on the primary computer
  • disconnect from the secondary computer (e.g. remove network cable)
  • move the mouse from the primary computer to the secondary computer
  • mouse and keyboard can no longer be used on the primary computer

I hope there will be a fix for it.

Strangely, the hotkeys don't work for me. So, no - even after setting the hotkeys I can't get the control back.

Normally there shouldn't be a need for this. If there is no response from the secondary computer - control immediately returns to the primary computer. Maybe after a timeout, which you can define yourself. Hey, a new feature ;-)

Regards!

Control is automatically returned to the primary if the secondary does not respond within a set time which is 6 seconds.  This has been a feature of Multiplicity since version 1.
