how to use the media player

How can i get SysMetrix to play mp3's through the media player box it has? I hit play and it brings up my Windows Media Player box, I don't want that, I want it to play in SysMetrix. how?

Download winamp. I don't know if version 5 works with sysmetrix or not. If it doesn't get version 2. You can get them at www.winamp.com

In installation make sure you set winamp as the default mp3 player. Sysmetrix can control winamp without you seeing winamp open. It will be open though.

I believe you must use winamp.

Get winamp5 first. Someof the plugins with winamp3 won't work with sysmetrix therefor winamp3 won't. And winamp5 is better then winamp3. Tell me if winamp5 works. and make sure its set as the default mp3 player. You can do this during the installation

and yes you need to uninstall winamp3 before installing winamp5

Winamp 5 does work with Sysmetrix. I have been using it with my favourtite - Pixtudio's Abracadadra suite - and the incorporated winamp in the sysmetrix skin works well
