Start 11

Notification area is only partially showing

Using Start11 (v. 1.47, Windows 11) and notification area only partially shows at startup. Going to taskbar settings in Start11 and "Restart explorer" fixes the issue, but the issue returns at every startup. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Start11, but the issue remains.

Thoughts?

Just to confirm something, this issue is happening on your main screen, on external monitor only or on both screen?

I would like to confirm on quick thing.  Basj is actually asking if you had a touchscreen display.  In my terminology, touchscreen and touchpad are not the same thing. Searching the internet seemed like that model does not have a touchscreen. Can you confirm to be sure?

Thanks!

I do often use a second display. I can confirm that the issue occurs with or without the second display. Also, the laptop does have a touch screen.

Thank you.

I had this problem. It is a bug with 2 in 1 laptops via Windows 11's tablet mode changing the taskbar. The only way I have found to fix this is to turn off tablet mode taskbar in settings.

You can do this by..

Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar. Expand the Taskbar behaviors section, then uncheck the box for "optimize taskbar for touch interactions when this device is used as a tablet
