Problems in 1.8

anomaly message spam / endless research

My game file is here:  https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/hq7c3hisnd4a8ayg6svc6/anomaly-msg-endless-res.GC4Sav?rlkey=fzdgd5z6xhy8j8jp9bz54gscp&dl=0

I noticed 2 things.

1.   when the turn is starting, I get multiple messages: only ships with a survey module can survey anomalies.  I had thought maybe this ocurred when I attacked a defended anomaly and my survey ship was destroyed.  So the fleet just keeps trying.   I get from 2-5 messages on turn starting every turn.

2. At the turn of this save, I just finished researching drive optimization, which is the last tech in its series.   I will now see this pop up as an  option regardless of whether I have actually already researched it.   This is probably just that the research tree is not fully worked out, but whatever.

I hope this may be of some help. If you want this sort of thing in a different way, please educate me.

If your fleet is repeatedly attacking an anomaly without a Flagship then it must be on auto explore you need to find it and take it off auto.

Drive Optimization is a repeatable tech at this time it repeats so when you research all of your techs you have something to research. Otherwise the game would not repeat.

It is not a bug but the talk is to come up with alternatives, none have passed the smell test at this time.

I see... it's not a bug it's a feature.  Well more polishing to be done would be expected at this point.

I am not sure about the other busy with anomalies.    I worked through my entire list of fleets (yeah there were a *few*) and I could not see any potential problem, but after I did, I didn't get the message about needing a survey ship on the next turn.   So it's still a puzzlement to me.

Appreciate your suggestion.  Given I may be blind (truly, sometimes I can't see stuff right in front of my face), but I didn't see any message or description sugesting a repeatable research item.   Since I think some more work is to be done here, the value of fixing this probably isn't worth it.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Just want to throw in my two cents, it REALLY should be made more clear, in a big, bold way, that the final tech which boosts speed will wear off over time. Like, yes, it's there in the flavor text, but.... not everyone reads flavor text. Important strategic information should not be hidden in flavor text.
