My free trial for Windowblinds is almost up and I see that the Steam release is somewhat cheaper which makes me wonder: If I got the trial from the Stardock site but went to buy the full release from Steam, would I have to redownload the whole software? If I were to not want to go through that whole reninstallation process, would I have to just buy the Stardock.com release?

I'm not sure it's still the case, but for a very long time it was highly recommended (necessary?) to uninstall the trial before installing the paid version.  That is what I would do.

To swap I would uninstall first to avoid a mismatch of files.

I would have expected the pricing to be about the same however.  What country are you in?
