If i add Icons to Start 11 through the context menu, it places the icon randomly somwhere between the existing icons and messes up the whole arangements. I need to rearragne everythieng each time. This is very anoying.
How can that be avoided?

I use the Windows 10 Style.
It runs on the Windows 11 64bit.

I tested on my system, and seem to be when I added a new "pin to Start" item it appear on the last active group. So have you tried that.

It seem you ask questions about your own software i supposed to ask actually.
If you need to guess what your software is doing and ask me to try things, it is no help at all.
I don't understand what you mean.
What is the last active group?
Where can i see that?
Where can i set the active group?
But that all doesn't solve my initial question.
If you have no concrete solution, we better stop here.

Actually, the software is not mine, I am just a user as you are. What I mean the last active group is the last group you add something into it. Anyway, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Hello,
Below I create a short video showing that pin item will always go to your last created group. By this rule, what you can do is to create a new temporary group before pinning item to start. This will ensure your current groups will not be change when you pin a new item.

That might be something the system could do automatically when a new item is pinned: set up a new group at the end of the menu with the newly pinned item. I have the same experience but am not bothered by it...just a minor quirk and I know what to look for.
That could result in a lot of surplus groups with only one item in them.
Hint: You can move the icon where you need it after it was added. You don't need to keep the Group.
But this whole procedure causes some general confusion obviously and it appears to me as a workaround rather than a propper solution.
Maybe Stardock should consider an improvement.
There is at least one other workaround which could maybe improved too. I cannot add a folder. I need to create a shortcut for the folder, add the shortcut, and delete the shortcut.

You should be able to add a folder. Just right click in the group in Start11 and pick the Pin folder option. It will then be added to that group.
Oh i didn't know that exisits. But I miss the add possibility from the explorer context menu nevertheless. Other things work there. Why not for folders.

Because pin isn't a standard option on a folder so the shell extension to show it isn't integrated in.
Having extra pin options directly in explorer isn't as good as noted due to the need to pick what group or page to pin to. Doing it directly in the menu offers far more control. Also the OS is making it harder to show those custom pin options. We can sync with the OS pin so the OS Pin to Start option works, but it can only show on items which actually offer that and folders do not.
