Start11

Software (SW) Error

Hello

May I submit a sneaking suspicion that I'm fighting with a software flow in Start11?

Start11 accepts tiles for the file explorer in 'WIN 11'. That's truly useful. Thanks.

But:  Start1
1 provokes the file explorer to display such partitions twice (see snapshot below with 2 partitions (G)).
-  (G) no 1 (the right one)
in file folder 'This PC'
-  (G) no 2 (the wrong one) one level higher

Another problem:  Do I select a file explorer tile in the Start11 menu, 'WIN 11' will activate (G) in the 2nd folder (G), ie the one 1 level higher, not in 'This PC'.
-  In partition (G) of 'This PC', the file explorer does mark the full
folder hierarchy down to the very folder or file I'm looking for, but not in the 2nd folder (G) 1 level higher. So:  I don't want the file explorer to select the folder (G) 1 level higher also for this reason.
-  In folder (G) of 'This PC', I can follow the selected folder or file down the folder hierarchy ('WIN 11' is marking it fully), but not (G) 1 level higher.

May I ask Stardock to check this problem soon? As explained, it's disturbing working with the file explorer twice.

2 hints:
-  H-1:  I discussed the problem with the professionals of the Microsoft Community. They are convinced that this fault is not provoked by 'WIN 11'.
-  H-2:  I'm working with a SSD plate (in an
external box) connected to a 'Thunderbolt 4' plug of the PC (that's special).

Best regards - Konrad

Start11 does not 'provoke' Windows file explorer to do anything.  It's unclear to us how or why you are making the association.

Hello sdRohan

As explained, it's not 'my association', but 'an association of the MS expert involved'.

What I need is an explication why this problem occurs + how I can (or Stardock or MS will) fix it.

Thanks - Konrad

Studi1, forgive me for being unclear.

With the limited information you have provided, and knowing that Start11 does not affect Windows Explore in any way, it's impossible to know what you are talking about or what role Start11 plays in it - if any.

Sean:  Should I answer in the same way (it's the 2nd time now)? So, please answer in a correct way next time.
-  1st:  Please have a look into the snapshot above. It's very clear (seen from the result) what the problem is. Your remark, thus, is not correct.
-  2nd:  If the snapshot is not clear enough, please ask your questions. I will try to answer.
-  3nd:  I've got a problem, and you say 'it's not Start11'. But Microsoft says 'it's not us', as well. So what should I do to get a valid answer form Stardock or from Microsoft that helps me out of the problem?

Its 'clear' that you have an issue, Studi. What is not at all clear is what role S11 would have in it.  That any MS rando on the internet blamed S11 out of hand is not evidence that it is, Studi...  If it is (extremely unlikely), I need more information.  For starters, a clear test would be to uninstall Start11 and see if you still have the issue.  Have you tested that, Studi?

Hello Sean:  Now we come closer to a solution.

Question:  How can I save the full Start11 menu not to lose this whole work.
