Can't figure out how to STOP an app from automatically grouping
Even though I've added it to the exclusion list, every time I open 1Password, it automatically groups into my Chrome group. How to I make it so 1Password never groups into anything?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. How do you setup your grouping setting?

Thanks

"Only group windows when the Shift key is held down". And "Only allow windows from the same application to be put in a Group using drag and drop unless the Shift key is held down" is checked.
I don't understand why 1Password and Chrome would be automatically grouping when 1P is launched?
Is 1p possibly showing its UI as part of chrome?
Not sure - how would I figure that out? And if it is, is there any way around it?
I've got the same problem. Groupy seems to have a mind of its own now. Please Stardock fix this issue.
The same windows grouping?
Yes as well as others. I've set a lot of rules that Groupy simply ignores. Apps that aren't ever supposed to automatically group when newly opened will still group, and sometimes with an unrelated group of apps. I'll open a help file to a file manager and the help file goes missing and I will find it grouped into another group of apps unrelated to the file manager. Frustrating to put it mildly. I've just completely turned Groupy off for my account for now after spending a lot of time with it tonight. I'm trying to use some of the advanced rules though and might be misunderstanding exactly how they work. That's an area that needs some attention. A lot of the specifics of how the software work is left out of the documentation.
Update: 1Password just grouped with an Excel spreadsheet. Really a mind of its own.
Have you created any custom grouping rules in Groupy or enabled the option to group windows when ctrl is held down?
I have it so you need to hold shift. But it doesn't matter when the new window just opens and auto groups
I've tried that setting too and Groupy would disregard it and group newly opened windows anyway.
We need more information on this if possible.
Do you have ANY custom rules setup in Groupy under Grouping rules? If so what are those rules as it could be there is a rule set which matches a lot more things than you might be wanting.
When it happens it would be extremely useful if you could click on the Groupy dropdown to the left of the tabs whilst holding down the CTRL key. Then go to the debug menu item and take a screenshot of the submenu and post it here. This will give us a clue as to why it decided to group that window.
Here's the debug when 1Password joined my Chrome tabs:
