HOW DO YOU DISPLAY ITEM AS LINK OR MENU OR TOTALLY DELETE ITEM????

I cannot figure out how to tweak the start menu!!  Where are the instructions?  For example, right now, when I open the menu, in the right column, under my name, I want to totally delete Pictures, Music, Device & Printers, Default Programs, etc.  The answer to my question is not obvious (but it should be)!  Help me, please!  Thank you.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I assume you're referring to Start11 and using Windows 7 or Modern Style yes? Please refer screenshot below.

Thank you, Basj, your advice worked perfectly!  And I discovered some additional things to put on my start menu that are not offered by Windows!  Again, thank you!
