Desktop Icon Text Colour

Hello! I am using Microangelo On Display to change the desktop icon text colour to black since the Corporate style I use for WindowsBlinds 11 makes the text colour white which is difficult to see but after every restart of the PC (or when I reapply the WindowsBlinds style) it reverts back to the white colour?

Thank you.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, need more information to help you.

  1. Windows 7,8,10 or 11? And its full version number. Use Winver.exe to get to it.
  2. Windowblinds 11 version number?
  3. Screenshots of the issue you're referring.

Thanks

Hello and thank you for the prompt reply.

Windows version is x64 10 22H2 (OS build 19045.3208).

WindowsBlinds 11 version is WindowBlinds 11.02 (017 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

I set the font colour to black and click apply. All is good until the next PC restart or WB style reapply when the desktop fonts revert back to white! I have fiddled with all the settings in WB that I can think off.

Thank you.

As far as I know, Windowblinds can not change Desktop icons text color. As a test, If you uninstall "Microangelo on Display", reboot, what color you get on your desktop icon text?

This is what I see on my desktop with Corporate applied. No "Microangelo on Display" needed for me. There are dark drop shadow around the text so I can see the text perfectly.

Thank you,

Dear Basj,

Thank you for the continued support. I have tried disabling WB and restarted, same thing, desktop icon text colour remains white no shadow. Re-enabling WB I get white with shadow. So I'm thinking that this is a problem with Microangelo. So I will pick it up with them.

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure they don't provide support or updates anymore. The last version of Microangelo On Display was released April 5, 2012 - back in the days of Windows Vista, so it's more than 11 years old.
