This week, Microsoft released a new patch for Windows 11 that is causing instability with some Windows enhancement software. Start11 is not impacted by this patch and should continue to operate without any disruption.
The patch that Microsoft released is labeled as KB5028254 and it is known to cause issues with other Windows customization software. But after our testing and preparation for this release, we are not impacted by this update as long as you are running a recent version of the application.
To check to make sure that you are fully updated, you can open the configuration, click “About” then click “Check now”. Unless you are explicitly blocking updates to Start11, your application is likely already updated and you should have not seen any issues with this patch when it was released earlier this week.
While we do not officially support Insider builds of Windows 11, we know that many of our customers do like to run these pre-release versions of the operating system. If you fall into that category, we highly recommend you join our beta program as this helps us test new versions of Start11 before they are released and helps us ensure compatibility with future updates for Windows.
If you do run into any bugs with Start11, or any of our other software, make sure to check out our support center as it is filled with deep-dive content on all of our products, or join the conversations that take place in our community forums.
